At The Bridge Kitchen we are passionate about our food. Located at the rear of our Bridge Street building in Guildford, the Kitchen overlooks the river and provides a great place to catch your breath, relax and unwind. We serve barista-style coffee, homemade cakes, and freshly cooked hearty dishes as well as salads, wraps, and sandwiches, all prepared by our professional chefs.
The Bridge Kitchen is open to the general public Monday to Friday 7am to 2.30pm.
The Bridge Rooms Residents
As a resident of The Bridge Rooms you will receive breakfast and dinner in our tasty Bridge Kitchen. A continental breakfast served from 7am to 9.30am. Dinner is from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. The Kitchen is also open to the general public 7am to 2.30pm. During this time you can purchase anything from the menu.
Covid-19 Safety Information
Due to the anticipated longer-term social distancing measures as a result of Covid-19, we have decided to withdraw the cooked breakfast offer for the 2020-21 academic year, however, a continental breakfast will be provided every day between 07:00 and 09:30 allowing us to serve residents with grab and go options. Evening service will remain as a hot meal but it is anticipated this will be done on a staggered basis with residents being allocated a time slot for their evening meal. The situation remains fluid and we will review this regularly. Residents and staff safety are of paramount importance.
By choosing The Bridge Kitchen you are supporting your local community. The Bridge Kitchen and The Bridge Rooms are run by the team at YMCA DownsLink Group. We provide supported accommodation, as well as advice and guidance to young people in Guildford. So, every coffee you drink helps to support local young people who are at risk of homelessness.
We are proud to serve coffee supplied by Caffe Praego, an ethical coffee bean supplier who gives back to the communities from which they buy their coffee. Where possible we try to source our ingredients from local suppliers.
